Quando Safari non apre i video

Post by simolope »

ho risolto in questa maniera :
- ho disintallato Adobe CS3 ( lasciando solo Ps e Acrobat )

Flash Player issues persist with "Leopard-compatible" release

Users continue to report problems with Flash playback under Mac OS X 10.5.x, even with the latest version of the Adobe Flash Player, which lists "Mac OS X Leopard support" as a new feature. This issue is sometimes exemplified by a QuickTime logo with a question mark overlaid (as shown at below).

Image

MacFixIt reader Stan writes:

"I totally uninstalled flash using Adobe's uninstaller and then installed the new version of Flash released today. Flash movies still generate at question mark inside the quicktime symbol in Safari."

MacFixIt reader Nicole adds:

"I keep getting the following message: "This page has content of MIME type, 'application/x-shockwave-flash' because you don't have a plug in installed for this MIME type this content cannot be displayed." [...] I tried to download the new version of Adobe flash player, but that did not help, in fact after the install in redirects me back to the adobe website to install plugins. I am using an Intel based macbook pro and all my software is up-to-date. [..] I called apple and everything they told me to do I had already tried, adobe download, windows media player download and a running a test login. None of these help. Adobe is not any help because flash-player is a free download for which they do not offer technical support."

This problem crops up so frequently that we have a tutorial on resolving it. However, one of the following three fixes will work in 9 out of 10 cases.

Fix #1 In most cases the issue has to do with a conflict between QuickTime Player attempting to playback Flash content, and Adobe's own Flash plug-in attempting to playback the same content. Apple's QuickTime has the ability to play Flash content embedded in QuickTime movies and in Web pages via the QuickTime plug-in but this option turned off by default, as it is not compatible with as many embedded Flash media types as the true Adobe plug-in. However, it may be inadvertently turned back on by the upgrade process.

The fix is generally to open the QuickTime pane in System Preferences, click on the Advanced tab, then click the MIME button and deselect "Flash" under "Miscellaneous File Formats." However, this option has been removed in Leopard. (There's an option to disable Flash playback in the "Advanced" pane, but this doesn't change the MIME setting). As such, the preference must be changed by manually modifying the file ~/Library/com.apple.quicktime.plugin.preferences.plist (this refers to the Library folder inside your user folder).

(Note: Before going through the process below, try simply deleting the file ~/Library/com.apple.quicktime.plugin.preferences.plist then restarting your browser).

If you have Apple's Developer Tools installed, use this process:

Open the folder ~/Library/Preferences
Control-click (or right-click) the file com.apple.quicktime.plugin.preferences.plist and open it with Property Lit Editor
Click on the triangle near "root"
Click on the triangle near "WebPluginMIMETypes"
Click on the triangle near "application/x-shockwave-flash"
In "WebPluginTypeEnabled" change the Value from "Yes" to "No"
Save and close Property List Editor
Relaunch Safari
If you don't have the Developer Tools installed, you can perform the same process with the shareware tool PlistEditPro (just open com.apple.quicktime.plugin.preferences.plist with PlistEditPro instead of Property List Editor in step 2).

You may have to download and install the latest version of the Adobe Flash plug-in after performing the aforementioned steps.

Fix #2 Install and use Perian, a plug-in that adds better Flash playback support to QuickTime.

Fix #3 You can move the QuickTime plug-ins QuickTime Plugin.webplugin and QuickTime Plugin.plugin out of the folder /Library/Internet Plug-Ins and unchecking the box "Enable Flash" in the QuickTime pane of System Preferences then making sure you have the latest version of Flash installed. This workaround has the unfortunate side effect of disabling embedded QuickTime content playback, so use it only as a last resort,
aggiungo di aggiornare a flash player, l' ultima versione, uscita da poche ore: http://www.tuttologia.com/macp2p/showth ... 844&page=2

Safari e QT si scontrano

Post by simolope »
