Apple plans event for February 28

Apple plans a special invitation-only event to introduce new products next week. The event happens on Tuesday, February 28, 2006 at 10:00 AM Pacific Time.

The invitation gives away precious little about what Apple has up its sleeve for the event.

“Come see some fun new products from Apple,” says the invitation received by Macworld. The e-mail features a large rendering of an iCal-style icon with the date set to February 28, 2006.

The event takes place at Apple Town Hall on Apple’s Cupertino campus.

Secondo Macrumors.com, l'oggetto misterioso che Apple presenterà il 28 potrebbe essere un nuovo iPod da 5 Gb a tutto schermo (e touch screen?).

There is significant debate about the part number shown. The part number "M8719Z/A" is the same part number as Mac OS X 10.2 Server, but several people feel it is a "B" not an "8".
