Ciao, mai sentita questa estensione ed anche cercando qui non c'è traccia di questa estensione. Se riesci ad essere un po' più preciso forse riusciamo ad aiutarti

hai ragione, l'estensione è solo inventata..credo sia un file prodotto da macromedia director ma non riesco a vederlo..

E' la seconda volta che negli ultimi giorni viene citata questa fantomatica estensione .osx...

In un forum uno dice che aveva un file osx che non riusciva ad aprire ed ha risolto creando un nuovo account.

The guy at the Apple store also had the suggestion of creating a new user account, which ended up being a very good idea because it worked! Doing that proved to me that it wasn't my machine, or the Mac OS X version I was running at the time (Tiger), but instead was limited to my user account!

I went back home and created a new user account, and the .osx files on both DVDs worked correctly.

Adobe director uses .osx as extension for the executable files, you can create.
Since Director can output its files as applications for both platforms, mac and Windows, you sometimes get files from windows developers, which do not know much about the mac platform and its requirements. Sometimes they do not even test on a MacOS. :-(
The executable bits may for example have crossed a non- HFS filesystem, which looses the resource fork and thus makes carbon or classic applications unusable, as old mac applications carry the important bits in the resource fork.
It may also be only a problem of the way the file was archived.
I have seen stuffit doing funny things for example.
Try to unarchive the original archive with another application, "The Unarchiver" for example.
Otherwise contact the author of the application.

Sempre nello stesso post ci sono anche altre possibili spiegazioni sull'estensione .osx

EDIT: ho chiesto l'autorizzazione ad Avro per pubblicare il link. Inoltre mi ha confermato che Director può registrare in formato .osx

Siamo arrivati allo stesso topic nello stesso forum... ho riportato solo la soluzione finale che il tizio che aveva il problema ha pubblicato tempo dopo... (ultimo contributo).

Quindi un file .osx che è contenuto all'interno di un pacchetto di un corso multimediale che probabilmente dovrebbe essere l'eseguibile dello stesso , come deve essere aperto ???? a me si apre in automatico Quicktime, ma chiaramente non funge quindi che faccio ??????
