mah... mi sembra una ciofeca di prima categoria: gaussian blur su una jpeg presa con una canon a 10 mpixel, MacBook con 2 (due) giga di ram.

Ok, ma il titolo riassume molto bene.
E' un sw per l'elaborazione e l'analisi delle immagini. Ovvero permette di trarre informazioni da un'immagine per scopi biochimici, biofisici, biomedici ecc. Offre la possibilità di applicare dei filtri alle immagini in modo da ridurre il rumore e di evidenziare meglio gli elementi di interesse. Ha un ottimo ROI(reagion of interest) manager, molto user friendly. Come lo è l'applicazione di FFT e FFT inverse. Apre le immagini DICOM. E' open source.
Oggi è la prima volta che lo uso, quindi non posso dare un giudizio serio. Non sono riuscito a trovare il modo di settare i filtri, cioè riesco ad applicare solo quelli predefiniti.Però mi sono molto divertito a misurare tratti di DNA, cellule, e altre cose carine. A parte i giochi mi pare utilizzabile professionalmente.
