Java 1.3.1 and 1.4.2 Release 2

ho installato, tutto bene

noto però che l'installazione riporta a default i settaggi che avevo imposto ovvero di usare la vers. 1.5

fate anche voi una prova digitanto in terminale: "java -version"

il risultato è che il mio mac os 10.4.2 stava usando java 1.4.2

pertanto come feci l'altra volta ho abilitato nuovamente java 1.5 (cosa l'ho installata a fare se no?)

i comandi sono questi, sempre in terminale:
cd /System/Library/Frameworks/JavaVM.framework/Versions (invio)
sudo mv CurrentJDK CurrentJDK.old (invio e pass)
sudo ln -fsh 1.5.0 CurrentJDK (invio)

fatto questo con il solito comando "java -version" appare che il mio mac usa java 1.5 di cui non mi lamento affatto

Pare che il nuovo aggiornamento di Java stia creando parecchi problemi…

System-wide freezes when browsing Users continue to report significant issues with Apple's Java 1.3.1 and 1.4.2 release 2 for Mac OS X 10.4.2. The most pernicious and widespread issue is a stability lapse occurring within Safari and other browsers that leads to a complete system freeze in most cases.

We've received dozens of reports indicating the same behavior -- a stall in Safari when accessing certain Web sites that usually leads to a complete system freeze accompanied by the unending "spinning beach ball" progress indicator.

io l'ho installato ed è tutto ok, mio cognato sul PB invece ha gia avuto il suo primo Kernel Panic
