Apple seeded developers with new builds of Mac OS 10.4.3 and Mac OS X 10.4.2 for Developer Transition Kits (Intel) over the weekend
Mac OS X 10.4.3 build 8F23 includes about 75 new bug fixes to the OS, fast bringing the total number of specific improvements the update will deliver to nearly 500. While some bug fixes are as general as the oft described "improvements to .Mac syncing" others are more specific and address the use of ampersand symbol in Spotlight searches, for example, and trying to enlarge text in Safari when a Word XML file is loaded.
The new build, which stands at 97.7MB, is the first to include a summary of the changes in Mac OS X 10.4.3 in the installer itself, a sign that the build is getting ever closer to release. Still, eight specific issues are listed as known and as of yet unresolved according to seed notes, including several printing related issues. The final release is not expected until the end of September at the earliest.

Apple has released the first major update for developers working on its Intel-based Transition Kits. Mac OS X 10.4.2 build 8B1072 is a 2.7GB download that reinstalls the entire system and brings the Intel version of Mac OS X up to speed with the Mac version.
The new build is also said to address recent successful attempts by savvy tinkerers who have managed to install pirated copies of the original DTK version of Mac OS X on non-Apple PCs. Universal binaries built with Xcode 2.2 and the new copy of Mac OS X 10.4.2 for Intel will also fail to run on systems running the older version of the operating system.

Io il dubbio me lo sono tolto: OS X 86 è una realtà concreta, gira bene anche su un portatile cesso come il mio Acer, quindi non potrà che essere uno spetacolo su hardware Apple dedicato!

Ho tentato un'installazione sul Sony Vaio, P4 3 giga che usa mio figlio, che ha due HD, di cui uno partizionato in due unità logiche, ma lo vedeva come un disco unico, quindi ho temuto (credo a giusta ragione), che si sarebbe mangiato XP...
Dovrò prima fare una partizione "vergine" con Partition Magic, credo....

Togli il credo, PM 8 è l'unica soluzione "idiot proof" e affidabile. Fanne due primarie e "prova" OSX sulla seconda; inutile dirti che una persona coscienziosa PRIMA farà un bel GHOST (meglio ancora Acronis True Image) della propria partizione Winzozz....

Niente da fare: ho provato su un P4 2 giga ma esegue l'installazione ma non rebootta....
