Son riuscito a collegarmi solo ora... Caso risolto! non so come e perché ma stasera il finder negli hd esterni funziona 
Ieri ti avevo detto che avrei provato con diskwarrior, accorgendomi solo dopo che era un programma a pagamento. Comunque ora pare tutto funzionare.
per curiosità ho provato a seguire quelle indicazioni che mi suggerivi dal terminale.. e mi dice per tutti gli hd (interno ed esterni): "Status: Indexing Enabled".
??: Ma sia spotlight, sia finder ora funzionano perfettamente.. mistero!

I have one extra internal drive in my G5 and found out that Spotlight didn't find documents on this drive. I added my two drives to the 'privacy' pane from the Spotlight preferences and than removed them.
Then, Spotlight began to index both the hard-drives.
I'm happy now!
