Grazie!

In Camino 1.0.4, we have made the following changes and improvements since version 1.0.3:

* Fixed several critical security and stability issues, including those fixed in version 1.8.0.10 of the Mozilla Gecko rendering engine.
* Sheets will now close as expected on Intel-based Macs.
* Upgraded the bundled Java Embedding Plugin to version 0.9.6.
* Added support for importing iCab 3 bookmarks.
* Improved the handling of Internet Explorer .url shortcut files.
* The text of certain security dialogs now contains “Camino” instead of “(null)”.
* Camino will now make a backup copy of the bookmarks file when it launches if the file is not corrupt.
* Camino will automatically restore bookmarks from a backup when it launches if they are unreadable.
* Further improved ad-blocking.

In Camino 1.6.5 sono stati inseriti i seguenti miglioramenti e modifiche rispetto alla versione 1.6.4:
• Aggiornamento alla versione 1.8.1.18 del sistema di visualizzazione Mozilla Gecko, che include alcune correzioni importanti relative a sicurezza e stabilità.
• Camino non si blocca più all'avvio quando il sistema di controllo ortografico di Mac OS X non funziona correttamente.

Java Embedding Plugin (che fornisce il supporto a Java in Camino) incluso in Camino 1.6.x non è compatibile con Java in Mac OS X 10.6 «Snow Leopard» e provoca blocchi in Camino ogni volta che si visita una pagina con applet Java. Anche se esiste una versione compatibile di Java Embedding Plugin, tale versione non funziona in Mac OS X 10.3.9, che è supportato da Camino 1.6.x. A causa di queste incompatibilità, Camino 1.6.10 e le versioni successive disattiveranno Java in Mac OS X 10.6.

Gli utenti di Camino 1.6.x che hanno bisogno di usare Java in Mac OS X 10.6 e non vogliono aggiornare a Camino 2.0 Beta 4 dovranno eseguire la seguente procedura per ottenere una versione compatibile di Java Embedding Plugin e riattivare Java. Nota: la procedura dovrà essere rieseguita per ogni successiva versione di Camino 1.6.x.

1. Uscire da Camino 1.6.10 o versione successiva.
2. Sostituire Java Embedding Plugin nell'applicazione Camino con la verisone 0.9.7.2 o successiva di Java Embedding Plugin.

L'applicazione AppleScript Install JEP for 10.6 è in grado di eseguire questa azione automaticamente.

3. Riavviare Camino.

Java funzionerà ora correttamente fino al successivo aggiornamento di Camino 1.6.x, quando gli utenti dovranno rieseguire questa procedura.

Dovrebbe, sì. Nel documento "Note sulla versione" contenuto nel file immagine di Camino non si fa però un esplicito riferimento a Snow Leopard:

Camino 2.0 richiede Mac OS X 10.4 o una versione successiva. Consigliamo agli utenti che ancora usano Mac OS X 10.3.9 di scaricare Camino 1.6.10 (http://caminobrowser.org/download/releases/1.6.10-MultiLang/).
