WINE Arrives for Intel Macs

Though the precious dream of dual-booting our Intel Macs has not descended, a convenient alternative has arrived. Although fully functional on developers releases of OS X for Intel, the WINE compatibility layer, which allows Windows programs to run on *nix systems including OS X, was not available for the public release of 10.4.4. However, thanks to the hard work of the folks at Darwine and their contributors, it appears this barrier has been broken!

Aggiungo anch'io:
Wine consente di far funzionare poche applicazioni e non è assolutamente di facile configurazione.
Insomma, è un prodotto interessante ma decisamente acerbo, IMHO.

uffa... ai MacIntel danno il Pane (rosetta) il Vino (Wine) e a noi PPc manco le briciole

anch'io lo farei
visto che adesso sto usando VP per far girare un applicazione che esiste solo per pc e ti assicuro che ogni volta che lancio VP mi viene voglia di :testate:

visto che adesso sto usando VP per far girare un applicazione che esiste solo per pc e ti assicuro che ogni volta che lancio VP mi viene voglia di :testate:
Giusto, giusto: in effetti possono esserci casi in cui serve un programma specifico e non ne esiste nessun altro che possa fare le stesse cose... In tal caso esistono però i pc... che fanno girare tali applicazioni :P

Caspita, non c'avevo mai pensato; posso girare con due portatili invece che uno solo, sciocco che sono...
