Arriva Quake 4 per Mac

Aspyr si legge che è pronta la versione di Quake 4 per Mac, che uscirà il 28 febbraio. Gli appassionati possono pre-ordinarla anche da Amazon.
Occhio, però, ai requisiti.
Recommended System Requirements:
Quake 4 runs best on a Power Mac G5 or Intel 2.0 GHz or faster
# Operating System: Mac OS X 10.4.4 or later
# CPU Processor: PowerPC G5 or Intel chipset
# CPU Speed: 2.0 GHz or faster
# Video RAM: 128 MB
# RAM Memory: 512 (minimum).

per tutti gli interessati sta anche per uscire quake wars, un mod, probabilmente a pagamento, che gira sul motore di enemy territory, ed ha richieste di hardware un po' piu' umane

in giro pe ril web io ho trovato in parecchie pagine questi requisiti:
Operating System: Mac OS X 10.3.9 or later
CPU Processor: PowerPC G4/G5 or Intel chipset
CPU Speed: 1.67 GHz or faster
Memory: 512 MB or higher
Hard Disk Space: 3 GB free disk space
Video Card (ATI): Radeon 9600 or better
Video Card (NVidia): GeForce 6600 or better
Video Memory (VRam): 64 MB or higher
Media Required: DVD Drive
Multiplayer: Internet (TCP/IP) and LAN (TCP/IP) play supported. Internet play requires broadband connection.
Mi sembrano gia' piu' umani

Per ora non c'è storia: i giochi più esigenti girano bene anche su PC con prestazioni hardware ridicole. Speriamo nei Mac Intel.
Ribadisco quanto detto qualche tempo fa:
1) per Internet, foto, filmini, DVD, musica, p2p, editor di testo, chat, ecc.: un Mac;
2) per giochi: Playstation o Xbox;
3) per speciali collezioni di virus variegati (come saggiamente suggerì TheCube): PC con Windows OS.

Però il migliore è eMule e non c'è per mac...
