SizeWell è un comodo plugin che permette tramite l'utilizzo dei tasti modificatori (shift, Ctrl, alt e Comando) di ridimensionare le finestre delle applicazioni secondo vari criteri.
Per esempio, allungarle al massimo e allinearle ai bordi destro o sinistro, oppure allargarle al massimo e allinearle ai bordi superiore e inferiore.

While resizing a window:

Hold shift to keep its width or height.
Hold command to keep its aspect ratio.
Hold option to keep it centered.
Hold control to pin its bottom right corner.
When zooming a window:

Hold shift to really maximize it.
Hold control to maximize it left.
Hold command to maximize it right.
Hold shift and control to maximize it top.
Hold shift and command to maximize it bottom.

To Install SizeWell:

Download and Install SIMBL
Move "SizeWell.bundle" to "~/Library/Application Support/SIMBL/Plugins"
(~ is your home folder, and you may need to create the last two folders)
The Finder must the relaunched after login for SizeWell to work with it.
(SIMBL launches after the Finder on login, SIMBL does not work with the Finder in 10.5)

Ho visto che in snow leopard funziona anche con il finder (ma non in leopard, dove il finder è ancora carbon).

Ci sarebbe goFinder ma non so se funziona su Leopard.
