stampante condivisa

salve...nonostante abbia già letto i vari post sull'argomento non ho troavto nessuno che mi aiutasse nel mio problema..
allora mi ritrovo un pc con vista dove è installata una epson dx 7400 ...sullo stesso pc ho installato samba..sul imac vedo la stampante avendo eseguito la procedura trovata sui post in riguardo..ho isntallato i suoi driver presi proprio dal sito epson..ma non riesco a stampare..sul pannello delle stampanti mi dice stampante di default inattiva...che faccio???

sul pc hai abilitato la condivisione della stampante? il pc è acceso? il firewall di vista è attivo? i due computer sono già correttamente in rete tra loro?

condivisione abilitata...pc accesso....firewall disattivato..compter in rete..almeno si vedono...

ho provato a collegare la stmapante direttamente al mc è funziona perfettamente..riprovata in rete nulla..
ho notato una cosa che sul pannello stampante mi dice posizione...quando era collegata al mac su posizione si è inserito automaticamente il mio id di mac...quando è in rete che ci debbo mettere? forse l'indirizzo ip del pc dove è collegata? ho provato così a niente...aiutatemi...!!!

quando tutte le condizioni sono rispettate.
Pref. di Sistema/Stampa e Fax--> tasto "+" ---> Altre Stampanti--> Stampanti Windows---> Seleziona il Workgroup corretto--->seleziona il computer che condivide la stampante--->seleziona la stampante (e dal menu "Modello Stampante" seleziona marca e modello se questo non avviene già automaticamente).

tutto è rispettato perfettamente...l'unico neo non stampa...solo su psizione non so cosa mettere...e credo sia quello il roblema

beh, mi pare proprio che sul documento sia tutto indicato. lo inserito per quello. mi raccomando il nome della stampante su win: corto e senza caratteri strani.
In the Device Name field, type the name you would like to use for this printer in Mac OS X.
In the Device URI field, use one of the following formats to link to the printer:
smb://user:password@workgroup/server/sharename
smb://user:password@server/sharename
smb://workgroup/server/sharename
smb://server/sharename
Notes: "user" is the name of a Windows user who has privileges to use the printer. "password" is the password of that Windows user. "workgroup" is the name of the Windows workgroup to which the computer sharing the printer belongs. "server" is the name of the computer sharing the printer or its IP address. "sharename" is the shared Windows printer's share name.
Tip: You don't need a "workgroup" when specifying the IP address of the computer (such as when the printer is on a different subnet), or if your Mac belongs to the same Windows (SMB) workgroup.
l'utente win deve avere sempre una pass definita, ma questo fa parte della corretta rete che è quello che si è detto sopra. di più non so e poi non conosco vista.
