Interessantissimo aggiornamento di questo fantastico programma che è inspiegabilmente gratuito:
Convertitore di alta qualità per file MPEG e transport streams
può aprire i file QuickTime, DV, AVI, DivX, MPEG-4!
What's new in this version:
MOV, DV, AVI, MP4 files can be played, edited and exported
full screen playback with zoom
compatible with Toast 7 and DVD Studio Pro 4
new MPEG-4 exporter with H.264
frame rate setting and frame blending
4:3/16:9 selection for DV
built-in "Save as AVI" feature
compatible with the DreamBox 7020
added French and German localizations
Product Requirements:
Mac OS X 10.2 or higher

purtroppo richiede l'Mpeg-2 (a pagamento)

purtroppo richiede l'Mpeg-2 (a pagamento)
E' comunque un software straordinario. E poi il component mpeg è necessario solo per alcune operzioni.
Per esempio editare un divx non richiede il component.

è uscita una versione aggiornata: la 1.5.1
What's new in this version:
compatible wth the iPod
data rates are now in kbps
optional automatic resizing of player and preview
new advanced settings for AVI files
corrected some bugs in the exporter
"Fix streams with data breaks" has been improved
support for the HDV compressor

Nel tutorial DA DIVX A DVD CON iDVD 4 si dice di convertire in -mov con QT pro, ma non lo fa pure mpeg streamclip, che è pure gratis?
Ho detto una fesseria?

Hai detto una cosa giusta. Ma solo la versione 1.5 di Streamclip (presentata il 1° Novembre) accetta i divx. Aggiungerò questa nuova possibilità nel tutorial.

Novità: versione 1.5.1:
- i file MOV, DV, AVI, MP4 possono essere riprodotti, modificati, ed esportati
- riproduzione a tutto schermo con funzione zoom
- compatibile con Toast 7 e DVD Studio Pro 4
- data rate in kbps
- ridimensionamento automatico delle finestre
- supporto per il codec di compressione HDV
- esportazione diretta in MPEG-4 con la codifica H.264 con profilo per iPod video
- impostazione della frequenza dei fotogrammi, con fusione delle immagini (frame blending) opzionale
- impostazione del formato 4:3/16:9 per il DV
- la funzione "Save as AVI" è adesso incorporata nel programma
- compatibile con il nuovo DreamBox 7020
