LA SITUAZIONE E' STRANAAAAAA

Il Mac direttamente a corrente non si è spento, attaccato all'UPS sì

Ho sostituito l'UPS con uno diverso e mi si spegne lo stesso...

C'ho il Mac che è diventato allergico agli UPS

veramente che pensate?
Che il Mac deve andare in assistenza????
Tra un po' posto il System Log, appena lo riconnetto a internet

L'unica cosa che mi pare di capire è che sia andato in shutdown a causa della SMU (ma questo non significa che non ci sia altro…).

Per fare il reset della SMU bisogna spegnere il Mac e a staccare la spina. Dopo cinque minuti riattacchi la spina e lo riavvii.
Evidentemente non è necessario che tu faccia questa operazione subito: se sei abituato a spegnere il Mac prima di andare a dormire, allora oltre a spegnerlo stacca anche la spina.
Domattina infili la spina e lo riavvii.

Fammi sapere…

Che marca è il tuo UPS? È collegato al Mac via USB?

Il mio è un APS ed è collegato via USB per cui, senza alcuna installazione aggiuntiva e senza nessun driver, appena ho collegato l'UPS al Mac ho visto che si era modificato il pannello Risparmio Energia…

ma il mio, come tutti gli UPS del mondo (fino ad ora credevo almeno) è collegato direttamente alla presa di corrente del mac..
Ho due UPS: uno dell'olidata e uno della trust. Per mesi e mesi è stato tutto ok, ora questo casino..

ma perchè non so niente di niente di computer io????

Hartz comunque vada ti meriti un monumento, hai una pazienza infinita... Ho comunque staccato il Mac, i 5 minuti più lunghi della vita

Anch'io spero che si risolva tutto…

Se vuoi sapere che cosa è la SMU e perché è importante fare il reset leggi questo articolo tecnico di Apple.

Ti sono vicino perché tu sei uno dei pochi ad avere un PowerMac G5 come me e quindi è come se la mia macchina fosse malata…

Sì, sì: il mio APS 750 è collegato alla presa di corrente, ovviamente, ma c'è anche un cavetto che lo collega ad una porta USB del Mac…
