Eh già... Sia Version Tracker che Macitynet.it hanno toppato. La colpa è di Version Tracker: è da lì che in molti, me compreso, hanno ripreso la notizia.

Però, secondo me, è il codec DivX ad essere importante. Poi, per guardare e convertire filmati QuickTime, ffmpegX e VLC universal vanno benone.

Quindi, pensando di fare cosa gradita a molti nuovi utenti di Mac Intel, riassumo in questo modo il necessario (per ora):

QuickTime (possibilmente Pro) con i seguenti codec/component:
decoder/encoder DivX, AC3, Xvid e AVI, Popwire WMV-9.

VLC 0.85 universal.

E il vero jolly tuttofare: ffmpegX.

Con questi non ci sono assolutamente problemi nella importazione/riproduzione/esportazione di qualsiasi video.

Gli unici intoppi restano i plug-in per Safari, che non permettono ancora di visualizzare alcune tipologie di video all'interno del browser. Ma non è, in fondo, un grave handicap.

Ecco che aggiornamento era!
Avevo aggiornato il programma dalle Preferenze di sistema ma non mi aveva detto che versione era. Comunque il covertitore e il player sono ancora per PPC
