im also a southernman so i talk funny and sing funny i'd imagine. but i have fun n' that it what its all about
in any event i was moved that the guys let me in on this. n' im glad to have been apart of it.

so hey who is italy's premier folk artist? like in the states we have dylan, prine, etc.
who is italy's bob dylan or john prine? or is folk tunage not big in italy?

Well, it's not so simple to tell who's the best known here in Italy…
I would say Fabrizio de André, but I think it's only a matter of personal taste…
There are many others: it all depends on who's answering you!

Ehm...IMHO there's noone in italy you can compare to such as dylan and co.
In the late 70's we had a guy called Edoardo Bennato who was supposed to be the italian Dylan, but, you know, time passes and money needs...

Well, actually our folk music is something very close to our tradition and, y'know, our traditional music is like all that melodic stuff and of course Naples' tarantella . And you can add maybe something else from southern Italy like "pizzica tarantata" (which is something very cool and groovy, trust me) or... well let's hear from someone else.
