Eh... dovresti mettere qualche dettaglio in più, perchè così non si capisce bene...

apro un file .wmv
con QT tutto ok
con vlc se "vado avanti veloce" con il cursore, mi appare quell'errore.
vlc non si chiude, ma mi pare comunque strano.

A me non sembra un problema "tuo", visto che si tratta di un wmv. E' già molto che un plug-in come filp4mac riesca ad aprirlo. Io, lo avrai capito, ho molte perplessità sulla qualità di questo componente per QuickTime.
Prova con Windows Media Player e verifica se ottieni di più, ma non aspettarti cominque un fluido avanzamento veloce.
