Presumo che fiore si riferisca in realtà al conflitto Iran-Iraq che durò circa 8 anni e terminò, appunto, nel 1988.
La "Guerra del Golfo", ovvero la liberazione del Kuwait dall'invasione irachena, ebbe luogo tra l'inverno del 1990 e la primavera (beh, quasi...) del 1991.

è un pezzo molto dolce...sarà perchè lo collego ad una ragazza (che mi piace molto), ma ...bhe ascoltatelo.

In questi giorni mi trovo molto spesso ad ascoltare "Dogs" di Damien Rice (cantautore inglese che mi piace parecchio).

Ho avuto il piacere di ascoltare dal vivo Damien Rice in concerto a Ferrara quest'estate. Sono andato perché mi piacevano le sue canzoni, ovviamente. Ma è stata comunque una sorpresa: bravissimo! Gran voce, cosa che non traspare in modo così evidente dalle registrazioni in studio.

Questa canzone sprigiona un'energia che travolgerebbe anche un morto dopo averlo risvegliato e ve la regalo nell'indimenticabile concerto cui ho assistito l'anno scorso a West Palm Beach Dave Matthews Band-"Warehouse"

Nessuno ha citato Supersticious, pezzo in cui il basso è valorizzato in maniera favolosa. Una canzone con cui è difficile non ballare.

Comunque, bellissima l'idea di Ismene...

Bhe, tiriamo in ballo il mio "cantante" preferito (tra apici, perchè Stevie oltre ad essere un cantante è un poeta e un fantastico pianista...).
Vi cito dunque Sensuous Whisper. Un brano strepitoso, coinvolgente e fantastico da suonare . Il brano è contenuto in Conversation Peace; qui Stevie ci dimostra, come in ogni suo pezzo d'altronde, come possa utilizzare la voce a proprio piacimento...
E' davvero spettacolare...eccovi il testo:

OT/ Perdonatemi ma devo assolutamente andare off topic e segnalarvi un video di Stevie Wonder. Un video davvero struggente, difficile che riusciate a trattenere le lacrime.
Il brano in questione è "Lately", eseguita da Stevie durante un concerto a Boston, lo scorso 20 settembre. Durante l'esecuzione comincia a piangere, ha la voce rotta. Ricomincia, ma stona...il pianto è dovuto al ricordo della madre morta l'anno scorso; il brano era probabilmente dedicato a lei...commovente...
