Webcam / Video Conference Support:
In this version of Mercury, both webcam sending and receiving are possible.
If your webcam does not officially support Mac OS X, you may be able to get it to work with the help of drivers from Macam (
http://webcam-osx.sourceforge.net/).
Video-conferencing is supported on Mac OS X, however it is receive-only, due to an incomplete JMF (
http://www.mercury.to/index.php?page=Wiki&wikipage=jmf) library for Mac OS X. The feature is still relatively new, and so some issues may occur in use.
To initiate a video-conference session, enter /sendvc into a conversation window.
For more information on how to use it, please see the "Webcam, Video conference and JMF" section of the Frequently Asked Questions section of the Wiki (
http://www.mercury.to/index.php?page=Wiki).
Note: If you are running the Mac OS X firewall, you may have some problem with blocked ports. To open these ports (which some people might refer to as "mapping the ports"), please see the "I'm having problems connecting with webcam/file transfer" section of Troubleshooting.
