Disconnessione inaspettata

Non riesco a capire il motivo... ma spesso mi ritrovo a non riuscire a connettermi con Safari e a scaricare la posta con Mail mentre aMule sta scaricando a 15 kbps. Io non ho una banda di 15 kbps in download, quindi non riesco a capire il motivo di questa strana cosa :x .
Se poi riavvio il mac tutto funziona nuovamente, ma dopo alcune ore il problema si ripresenta... :???:

Is an archive and reinstall back to the previous version the only answer? I have refrained form updating a G$ iMac and my dual 2.7 G5 PowerMac."

It appears that in some cases, these issues may be caused Mac OS X 10.4.5's inexplicable resetting of the IPv6 configuration to "auto" as opposed to "off." We've noted that this setting can cause various network problems in several prior reports.

As described by MacFixIt reader Doug:

"Mac OS X seems to give IPv6 priority in attempting to establish connectivity. Unfortunately, most network components don't support it. 'Regular' IPv4 becomes established only after IPv6 times out. This can also often lead to mysterious dropped connections from a server that does support IPv6 when PHP or other server side supporting applications only know how to handle IPv4 address space and thus go confused.

In order to change this setting, open System Preferences and click on your currently used interface (Ethernet, AirPort, etc.). Click on the TCP/IP settings for the interface -- at the bottom if you see a button which says 'Configure IPv6...' click that and set it to "Off." Press the Apply Now button.


ma poi è tutto relativo, hai un mac intel no? andrebbe detto ogni volta.... cosi come di che system stiamo parlando ecc ecc

Ho scritto veloce per paura di disconnessione improvvisa.
Ora ho risolto il problema della specificazione delle caratteristiche del Mac.
Vediamo se per caso è un problema di "fili", ho rimesso a posto oi cavi... speriamo bene...

Non sembrerebbe essere una questione di fili, vedo comunque che il router, nel momento della disconnessione, non segnala né il collegamento alla rete, nè al computer, solo all'alimentazione. Basta però un semplice riavvio del router per farlo funzionare nuovamente nei limiti del normale... :???:
Non so proprio quali possano essere le cause di questo strano comportamento...

Ho una Alice Flat 640: 640kbps in DWN e circa 60kbps in UP (non mi ricordo quanto). Con aMule l'UP arriva al massimo a 30kbps, il down a 70, ma spesso gira intorno ai 10 sempre con gli stessi files (che salto...). Che sia un problema fisico del router? Che sia un problema di configurazione di questo? Che sia un... boh...? (Il tutto funzionava benissimo prima dell'aggionrnamento dell' OS X a 10.4.5)

Noldotar, il tuo Mac non c'entra niente; è il router ad andare in crisi a causa del traffico (non della velocità) generato da aMule.
E' possibile conoscerne marca e modello?

quindi se uppi a 30 hai decisamente tutta la banda occupata

in amule concedi al max 20 kb in upload (altrimenti la navigazione è perlomeno problematica e lenta)

io ne ho concessi 15 (ho alice 4mb ma l'upload è come il tuo, max. a 256 kbps)

Ho collegato bene i fili del mio Netgear DG632, ho settato i parametri di aMule come mi avete segnalato e ora si va decisamente meglio. Pensavo che i kbps fossero la stessa cosa dei kb/sec... grazie mille per la dritta! :wink:
