Se fosse vera sarebbe una splendida notizia; io uso molto Excel e quindi iWork lo trovo zoppo… 8) ma se arriva Numbers, beh allora è la volta buona per buttare Office… :smt118 :smt023

non credo ahe apple attacchi così duramente Microsoft con un sostitutito di office... d'altro canto, office di M$ è praticamente vitale per apple :roll:

A distanza di più di un anno, le voci si ripetono... non si chiama più Numbers ma Charts (http://www.thinksecret.com/news/0607charts.html).

Charts will support importing and exporting Excel formatted documents, as well as legacy AppleWorks spreadsheets

"iWork '07: in arrivo la 3° iApp anti-Excel?


Stando ad alcuni rumor della rete, Apple ha in progetto di aggiungere una terza applicazione alla suite iWork '07 che, come di consueto, verrà presentata nel corso del MacWorld di gennaio. Si dovrebbe trattare di una iApp "Excel killer", ma per un uso domestico/piccolo studio. Infatti, Charts, questo il suo nome, sarebbe in grado di importare i file.xls ma disporrebbe di funzioni limitate se confrontate con quelle del software di Microsoft. L'inedita iApp di Cupertino vanterebbe una perfetta integrazione e compatibilità con le altre applicazioni del Mac OS X, incluso AppleWorks e il suo Foglio Elettronico."

E' evidente che Apple non vuole invadere la nicchia di mercato di Office: Pages non è assolutamente un'alternativa a Word, questo nuovo Charts non pare lo sia rispetto a Excel....
Peccato.

Su Think Secret (http://www.thinksecret.com/news/0607charts2.html) ancora qualche indiscrezione sul foglio di calcolo che potrebbe essere introdotto con iWork '07.

Tra le altre notizie si legge: Sources report the application is being developed under the code name "Lasso"
