Impossibile caricare filmati di qualsiasi tipo su YouTube da QuickTime X

ciao a tutti,
ho provato invano per 4-5 volte a caricare direttamente da QuickTime X un video-messaggio di auguri (nel quale mi ero pure espresso con tutta la mia creatività artistica in una re-interpretazione di una famosa canzoncina...) senza mai riuscirci.
La barra del progresso dell' operazione si blocca sempre al 99% con la scritta "In attesa che YouTube processi il video", ma anche aspettando per ore, e il clip è di 30 secondi, non succede niente.

Ho provato, con QuickTime 7, a convertirlo da .mov a .mp4, e anche in .m4v, sempre con lo stesso risultato.
Dal browser invece si è caricato al primo colpo.

Peccato però, perchè la semplicità di uploadare direttamente da QuickTime sarebbe davvero una gran cosa!
Ricordo di aver provato mesi fa la stessa operazione, sempre purtroppo con risultato fallimentare.
Quando carico filmati su YouTube dall' iPhone, invece, funziona tutto a meraviglia.
Qualcuno sa darmi una dritta?

Ah, specifico una cosa, il mio account di YouTube è un account gmail, che ho collegato.

Hai verificato se il video risponde alle caratteristiche di YouTube (http://www.google.com/support/youtube/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=71674) in particolare relative al tuo errore?

Detto questo sia nelle Apple Discussions sia nel forum di YouTube (http://www.google.com/support/forum/p/youtube/thread?tid=22d63cf4d1b709eb&hl=en) si riscontrano numerose segnalazioni riguardanti soprattutto le prime versioni di Snow Leopard; non so se con la 10.6.5 è stato risolto questo bug (anche se nelle Apple Discussions ci sono ancora discussioni recenti).
Ecco le soluzioni proposte:
- una procedura un po' complessa riguarda il plug-in "Gear" (vedi il video postato nel forum di MacRumors (http://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?t=775599))
- provare a mettere solo lo username del proprio account in YouTube senza "@gmail", cito:

I had the same problem. When selecting sharing by YouTube in QuickTime Player (for Mac) I entered my username in the format "username@gmail.com". When doing so the video was uploaded but was processing for ever. When logging in using the format "username" and dropped "@gmail.com" everything worked fine. Problem solved!!

Well some say, just enter your username not the @gmail.com part, but when i do that it wont log me in via QuickTime.
SOOOO i made a new youtube account for kicks ( so that way i DONT have to use my Gmail sign in ) and when i sign in with my NEW name ( no @gmail ) it upload perfectly!
What is going on? why is this?
I know some might say unlink your youtube account with youtube and gmail but that option is not in my account settings....
