Per la gioia degli switcher annuncio l'arrivo dell'acclamato Picasa (http://picasa.google.com/mac/) anche per Mac. Per chi non lo conosce si tratta di una applicazione della google per ricercare, gestire, organizzare, ritoccare e condividere le proprie fotografie e immagini. Si tratta di una beta, solo in inglese e solo per Intel (Tiger e Leopard), che non ha tutte le funzioni della sorella maggiore e che ha subìto alcuni adattamenti per essere integrata a iPhoto.

Come capita spesso, a causa di sw scritto male, disinstallare applicazioni su mac non è sempre una passeggiata nel parco....

Quali sono i vantaggi rispetto ad Iphoto 09?A quanto ho capito possono convivere dato che Picasa non sposta le foto.
Però vorrei far notare questo

Un cordiale saluto a tutti.
Vorrei spendere due parole su Picasa. Usavo questo programma prima di passare al Mac e devo dire che pur avendo provato altri programmi per la gestione delle foto, questo rimaneva il mio preferito per diversi motivi che sarebbe troppo lungo elencare. Ora però non lo inserisco in Leopard perché da altre parti ho saputo che non è affidabile e anche la mia esperienza in Linux Ubuntu mi ha dato risultati deludenti.
Detto questo, in attesa che il programma assuma una veste definitiva e soprattutto stabile, sto cercando di spostare il mio archivio di foto su IPhoto, con qualche difficoltà ma che spero di superare man mano che prendo pratica.

Eventualmente dai un'occhiata a JetPhoto Studio (c'è una versione free e una a pagamento per Mac e Windows): http://www.jetphotosoft.com/web/home/ Secondo alcuni è comparabile o addirittura batte Picasa (si parla di versioni Windows).

Ci sono problemi se ci sono alcune marche di scanner, All-in-One o un iphone attaccati, stanno preparando una patch.

Ci sono diverse lamentele di chi cerca di installarlo invano su PPC... e ritiene che google avrebbe dovuto pensare anche ai PPC. Lo sviluppatore ha risposto!

Il forum della beta di Picasa mi mette un po in difficoltà con il mio povero inglese scolastico, cmq si consulterà alla bisogna.
Non conoscevo JetPhoto Studio, è un buon suggerimento e andrò a provarlo.

Segnalo che ci sono già state un paio di nuove versioni per correggere i primi bugs. La 3.0.3 risolve il problema che nasceva con iPhone collegato.

Ti ringrazio per la cortese segnalazione. Pochi giorni fa ho caricato la versione 3.0.3, che tu stesso hai citato, ora sono alle prese con risistemare tutte le foto che avevo caricato su iPhoto.
Devo ammettere, ora che conosco meglio quest'ultimo, che non è poi così male una grossa pecca è che non riesco a mettere, con il trascinamento, gli album che creo nell'archivio esterno eXpress ALU collegato Firewire 400. Prima o poi ci devo riuscire perché è mio principio usare l'HD interno all'iMac solo come movimento dati, ma poi il tutto deve essere spostato in un archivio, nel mio caso delle immagini. Cmq al limite mi consulterò nel rispetto del forum.

Dato che ogni tanto arrivano domande in merito, segnalo che da Picasa, cliccando in basso sul bottone Shop (un bottone che inizialmente non c'era) vi sono dei link, a seconda del paese di residenza, per l'upload di foto su alcuni siti che stampano fotografie (choose). Se si clicca però su Learn more, si va sul sito stesso e si possono vedere cosa propongono come fotolibri, oggetti personalizzati, calendari e bigliettini.
