Era da un bel pò di tempo che cercavo un'applicazione leggera e poco invasiva (al contrario di Photoshop), accattivante (al contrario di Photoshop), divertente (al contrario di Photoshop) e soprattutto freeware o poco costosa (ecco). L'ho trovata!!! Pixelmator (è materia Cocoa...) offre buona parte della funzioni di Photoshop (con esiti da valutare), un buon numero di effetti per gli amanti del fotoritocco "pesante" e, soprattutto, una gestione degli strumenti più classici come la "bacchetta magica", molto intelligente e che nulla ha da invidiare al grande di casa Adobe. Si mastica oltre 100 formati-immagine differenti e include dei flussi di lavoro per Automator, così da velocizzare i processi di correzione. Preciso che, a parere mio, si tratta di un Software fatto apposta per chi non può patire le snervanti seccature dovute alla struttura troppo "ramificata" di Photoshop. Che però rimane un programma molto più sofisticato. Ma per chi cerca una valida alternativa, Pixelmator offre parecchie funzionalità divertenti e assolutamente professionali. 59 $ e ve lo portate a casa...
Ah, se vi state chiedendo se finalmente siete riusciti a trovare qualcosa in grado di battere Gimp, posso dirvelo con sicurezza: batte Gimp, che non è poco.
Pixelmator e' un buon programma .. ma ci sono anche altre valide alternative ...

eh eh, ciao Nadabi...quel topic mi è mooooolto familiare...prima di passare a Pixelmator li-ho-provati-tutti. Niente da fare, questo qua su è quello che mi risulta più familiare! E' tanto bello...:oops
Bene :) Anch'io lo sto provando da qualche settimana. Non è male, per ora... però Gimp è gratis. Non mi pare un dettaglio.

Ciao avrobay!!! Da quant'è...si hai ragione, ma è anche ostico (almeno per me) e instabile (sulla mia macchina) e somiglia sempre di più ad una beta. E poi l'interfaccia grafica di Pixelmator si sposa cooooooooosì bene con quella di Aperture! Non è un amore?:amore

Forse si puo' paragonare Photoshop con Gimp... e Pixelmator con Element . Io con Gimp mi trovo bene, lo uso da anni e fa "quasi" tutto quello che la mia mente gli suggerisce. E' un prodotto gratuito, ricco di tutorial, localizzato in italiano e ... gratuito. Mi sembra di aver letto da qualche parte lo sviluppo di una versione nativa (senza x11) per Mac, staremo a vedere.
Possiedo anche pixelmator, lo trovato in un bundle su macheist.. quindi pagato pochissimo.. e' un prodotto giovane gia al secondo update.. molto bella la gui di lavoro e gia utillizza core.. un buon prodotto che promette bene... ma molto lontano da quello che è Gimp. Poi oddio naturalmente è una mia opinione... a volte meglio conoscere a fondo un software discreto che conoscere discretamente un software potente.

mah, personalmente pixelmator mi sembra più stabile. lasciando fare che sono dovuto tornare a photoshop per altre ragioni (grrrr....) ma mi sembra un programma dall'interfaccia intuitiva, con pochi strumenti tutti molto buoni e che ben interagiscono fra loro. non so, gimp a me crashava ogni tre per due, ma forse ho solo beccato versioni scadente. e poi io provo sempre un certo astio nei confronti dei programmi che si imparano ad usare in 10 giorni. per me o dopo due giorni lo usicchi oppure c'è qualche problema, ma vedrai che son duro io :oops e poi pixel sta crescendo veloce ;)

Super quoto. Mi pare un tantino "azzardato" :lol: fare questi paragoni. In pratica come paragonare una portaerei con un gommone. Entrambi navigano, la portaerei è un "tantino" ingombrante e anche un po' più difficile da manovrare. Fuori discussione quindi che non è un'imbarcazione per tutti :) Uguale Photoshop con Pixelmator. Attenzione, tanto di cappello agli sviluppatori, ottima applicazione, facile, intuitiva, stilosissima ma può solo ed unicamente essere paragonata a software di pari livello :)

Aggiungo una curiosità riguardo a Pixelmator.
Ho acquistato il programma nel maggio del 2010 (Leopard e poi Snow Leopard) ed è stato da subito disponibile in italiano. E' possibile che le successive versione non abbiano poi previsto l'aggiornamento immediato in lingua italiana, ma mi pare lo stesso una cosa curiosa. :)

Hai ragione, è strano. E infatti nella tua recensione era indicata la lingua italiana.
