GraphicConverter è uno notissimo shareware che stranamente citiamo di rado sul forum. Eppure offre strumenti molto evoluti e può rappresentare una valida alternativa a Photoshop.
E' vero che non è ufficialmente gratuito ma lo si può comunque usare con la sola limitazione (almeno a me sembra che l'unica sia questa) di un'attesa forzata di dieci o trenta secondi all'avvio.

GraphicConverter therefore enables you to use literally thousands of exciting effects and sophisticated functions. You can find out about compatible plug-ins via the version tracker.
Scanning is made using the Aquire plug-in (compatible to Photoshop) which supports TWAIN. The manufacturer of your scanner will supply you with the corresponding driver for your scanner.

In order to use plug-ins with the GraphicConverter, please follow the instructions in the manual which is linked to the program (go to the top menu bar in the program and select "Help"). There is also a short description in our FAQ.

Note: As plug-ins compatible to Photoshop are currently not available as binary versions, they will only function with the PowerPC version of the GraphicConverter. You can run this PowerPC version on Intel-Macs using the Rosetta emulation.

in effetti due piccolezze per un programma che ha fatto la storia... e che è validissimo da tempi immemori. me lo ricordo presente in bundles anche nel primo X 10.... insieme a omniweb. :D
