rispetto alla build 1970 sono innumerevoli i miglioramenti, tra cui un nuovo assistente all'installazione, transporter per clonare un pc win esistente, la compatibilità con leopard, il supporto usb 2, la possibilità di masterizzare direttamente nella VM, la visualizzazione coherence, la possibilità di utilizzare win xp sulla partizione creata da bootcamp come VM, le funzioni di drag and drop migliorate, le prestazioni della scheda grafica migliorate del 50%, ecc ecc

Ho scaricato e installato l'aggiornamento 2.5 ma nell'inserire il Codice del Prodotto che avevo in precedenza acquistato in bundle con il Mac, mi dice che non è valido per questa versione.
Che devo fare? disinstallare la 2.5 e ritornare a quella precedente del cd che ho (con la rottura di re-installare win?) ?
Pensavo che una volta acquistato e attivato il programma in maniera permanente, gli aggiornamenti sarebbero stati senza problemi...

Avevo la 1940 installata. Ho fatto il download al link diretto indicato in questo thread, lanciato l'installazione terminata la quale ho fatto partire il programma. Se premo su Start della Virtual machine mi dice:

deve reinstallare la sua versione localizzata (scommetto sia in possesso della versione ita) e aggiornare con la funzione automatica prevista dall'applicazione. (ammesso sia già disponibile l'update).

l'aggiornamento, oggetto del topic e scaricato dall'amico, (che sostituisce l'applicazione) è infatti le versione us/en dell'applicazione.

in altenativa, inserire una key corretta non localizzata. (che ovviamente si paga).

Sì. io... Se non hai la versione localizzata puoi semplicemente scaricare a manina l'aggiornamento dal sito di Parallels....

Lanci l'installer, aggiorna lui il programma. Le virtual machine non subiscono alcuna modifica, anzi... Devi ricordarti poi di re-installare i Parallels Tools (se usati) per ogni VM.

Sì, sei un po' di coccio, ma ti perdono :lol:
Il "bios" fa parte del prodotto Parallels Desktop in quanto "emulatore" in una macchina fisica; le VM non hanno mai subito modifiche durante le varie evoluzioni delle beta di Parallels e non contengono alcun riferimento all'architettura fisica (emulata) su cui girano.
Ergo, il "bios" sarà stato modificato per l'ennesima volta, e il tuo programmino per le immersioni ne risentirà come al solito :x

Lo so io, ce l'ha con Parallels che, ad ogni versione, modifica il BIOS: il programma che usa ha una chiave di registrazione basata, alla Windows, sulla macchina su cui il programma viene installato. Ogni volta che cambia il BIOS il programma crede che qualcuno stia facendo il furbo installando, con la stessa chiave, il programma su una macchina non autorizzata.
Lo sviluppatore si è stufato di mandargli ogni volta, gratis, chiavi di autorizzazione nuove, da qui nasce l'incazzatura (di Atotem, non dello sviluppatore).

Esattamente. D'altro canto gradirei aggiornare dato che la versione installata di Parallels mi combina diversi guai. Spesso alla sua chiusura (regolare di Xp e poi uscita da parallels) mi scompare il dock del Mac, con qualche USB mi pianta il Mac e amenità varie.

Grazie Flash,
lunedì ho installato la 2.5.3186 e funzionano sia Coherence (che con la beta non mi andava) che le USB. Fino ad ora non mi ha neanche dato nessuno degli altri problemi lamentati. Dato che il famoso sviluppatore mi ha concesso l'ultimo keygen per il suo programma, per il momento preferirei non aggiornare alla 3188.

sono molte le novità, alcune in realtà già presenti nella versione uscita alla fine di agosto quando il ns. forum era chiuso.

la scrivania del mac è ora volendo la scrivania di windows, cosi come la cartella musica del mac, i documenti ecc ecc.

in coherence, ora sono supportate exposè e le finestre trasparenti di win. transponder acquista nuove funzioni. in generale sono parecchi i miglioramenti delle prestazioni.

però ho un problema forse banalissimo: non riesco a cambiare le impostazioni della virtual machine: se provo a modificare ad esempio la ram, mi dice che la virtual machine va stoppata, però se premo il tasto stop mi si chiude tutto parallels e quindi non posso più fare niente, mentre se riapro parallels la pagina di configurazione viene visualizzata per un secondo e poi parte windows!

edit: ce l'ho fatta avviando parallels tenendo premuto il tasto mela! :-)

Se inserisci la parola "parallels" nel campo di ricerca del forum, si apre una risposta che include 20 pagine di topic. Ovviamente puoi raffinare la ricerca per ottenere risultati migliori e piu' mirati. Ti invito a sperimentare.

Per quanto riguarda la critica al forum, ti invito, prima di giudicare, a fare un tentativo di capire...

Guarda come sono organizzate le sezioni, esamina i contenuti dei messaggi e vedrai che non e' cosi' male organizzato.

ho una domanda base (spero sia attinente al topic).:oops

Ho sul mio MBP una partizione fatta con Bootcamp in cui ho Windows XP. Vorrei rimuovere il tutto in quanto quando gira su Win il mac tende a scaldarsi di piu' (mi sembra di ricordare fosse un problema di setting del Clock) ed a volte puo' essere fastidioso.

Quindi installerei Parallel 5 (mi si dice essere migliore di fusion). Ora vorrei sapere come avviene l'installazione. Essendo un emulatore immagino vada fatta sulla partizione Mac. Corretto?

L'ultima versione l'avete testata ? Posso prenderla o meglio aspettare?
Infine... la partizione Win la posso rimuovere oppure devo riformattare tutto HD?
